About Me

My name is Hayley and I am an aspiring Dietitian. I have my Bachelors degree in Health Sciences and I am starting my Masters of Nutrition program in May! I have a passion for everything health and wellness, as well as the environment. I love to cook eat, learn new things, travel, and explore. I create and photograph delicious recipes for everyone to try and enjoy.

There were many reasons I chose to go down this path. When my dad was diagnosed with thyroid cancer, health and diet became super important to them, therefore they made sure to teach me about the new information they were learning. When I got to college, I did not take health and what I put into my body all that serious and developed gastritis and other hormonal and gut issues. I learned that medicine alone was not going to solve my issues. I started cooking and working out a lot to help my appetite, as well as learned more about the topic of nutrition and how toxic ingredients can affect health. Now that I have all of this knowledge, I want to share it which of course is why I started Thrive Honey!

Another part of my blog is is dedicated to saving the bees. I want to raise awareness on the importance of these small creatures and the big impact they have on our world. The main reason people value them is for their ability to produce honey. Honey has potential health qualities, and researchers have found that it can have antioxidant, antimicrobial, anti-inflammator, and anticancer properties. Even more important, bees are essential for the health of us and our planet because of the role they play in pollination. Cropa produce better yields with the help of animal pollinators, so they say without bees there will be a variety of foods that we wont have anymore. I will post ways to incorporate honey into your diet and provide respurces to learn more about these amazing creatures and what you can do to help! Learn more under my “Save the Bees” tab!

I believe if we nourish our bodies properly with nutritious foods and avoid harmful ingredients, it can be the best form of preventative medicine. Eating a balanced diet full of fruits, veggies, whole grains, and lean meats can reduce the risk of chronic disease and improve overall quality of life. My goal for this blog is not only to provide yummy recipes, but also provide educational resources that I find to help those gain more knowledge on the subject. After all, our health and how to improve it is a topic everyone should know more about!

Thank you for all your support!!!
